Finding opportunities in UK finance is mostly a sourcing problem. The roles exist, firms recruit early, and the windows are predictable. But you have to be in the right places to see them. This page pulls together the trackers that list what is open, the accounts that surface new listings in your regular feed, and the university portals you already have access to. Start here.

Section 2

Accounts to Follow

You are already spending hours on TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn every day. If you follow the right accounts, opportunities show up in your regular scroll without you having to go looking for them. Turn on post notifications for the accounts below and you will catch new listings the moment they go up.

University Careers Portals

Before you go anywhere else, set up your profile on the platforms KCL already pays for. Both have exclusive listings that never hit the public trackers, and a lot of first years simply don't know they exist.

King's CareerConnect

KCL's own jobs and placements portal. Employers post listings here that are exclusive to KCL students, and some early access schemes never get advertised publicly. Set up your profile in the first few weeks of first year.

Handshake

A graduate jobs platform used by hundreds of UK universities, including KCL. Employers post roles here, often before they go anywhere else. Activate your account with your KCL email address.

Set Up Your Alerts

This takes about ten minutes and makes discovery automatic. Once it's done, deadlines come to you. You don't have to remember to check anything.

  • Follow the graduate recruitment pages of firms you're interested in on LinkedIn, and turn on post notifications. You'll see new openings in your feed the moment they go live.
  • Enable email alerts and deadline reminders on the Bristol Tracker and Career26 so you get notified when new roles are added, before the deadline has passed.
  • Turn on post notifications for the TikTok and Instagram accounts listed above. It only takes a second and you'll catch postings as soon as they go up.
  • Set up email alerts on Bright Network, TargetJobs, and Handshake, filtered to finance and investment roles. Opportunities land in your inbox automatically rather than you having to visit each site.
